Our signature all-cotton interlock Luxe is incredibly soft & silky. but its ingenuity is its ability to stretch without spandex. This is called mechanical stretch, achieved by the meticulously designed structure of the yarns. The fabric is washed before it's cut and sewn, an uncommon but very beneficial step. It minimizes shrinking over time (when following care instructions) and also prevents puckering and twisting around seams that often happens in your dryer when sewing threads shrink but fabric doesn't. Luxe fabric is used on many of our dresses, our all-cotton leggings, and in our most luxurious t-shirts. True investment-quality fabric!

Softest and strongest aren't often used to describe a single fiber. Except when it's organic Peruvian Pima cotton. Ours is grown on two family farms and harvested with care by hand. All of our dyes are certified to the most stringent safety standards such as the Oeko-tex 100 standard. They're tested for literally hundreds of dangerous substances like Azo colorants, formaldehyde, pentachlorophenol, cadmium, and nickel. Our dyes meet or exceed the US Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) regarding lead and the European Chemical Regulation (REACh).

"I love the soft fabric, and the length is perfect. I also like tht they are not too tight or loose in the legs--just right. the blue color is lovely also. however--do not like the thin elastic band--does not work for those of us with any belly. a wider band would make these perfect. I have organic cotton shorts from two other brands who don't work in the first areas but have a great waistband--wish i could combine them!"
"I bought these shorts with some trepidation. Worried they’d shrink in the was, be too flimsy, whatever. I did have to go up a size, but they’re soft, comfortable, fit well, look good, great for exercising, just walking around, hanging out. Put them in the washer and dryer. They came out great."

"These are absolutely so soft! For reference, I'm about 123 lbs with a 29-inch waist, 38-inch hips, and a 33-inch measurement at the widest part of my belly, which is right where the waistband of these shorts sits. I ordered a size small, and the fit is great. I'm very sensory-sensitive when it comes to waistbands. The waistband is about 6 cm wide, but the elastic is only 2 cm wide and is sewn into the very top of the waistband. I would have loved for the elastic to extend through the full 6 cm so the pressure was distributed more evenly instead of cutting into my stomach. This is the same with the waistband on the the Women's Organic Knit Pants with Pockets. Other than that, they're perfect!"
